Sticky Maple Ribs
I am not saying that these will be the best ribs you have ever had, but they are brilliant for children and very simple to make. I will definitely to this again. And if adults plan on eating them, why not add 1/4 – 1/2 tsp of paprika, chilli powder or chilli flakes to the marinade, and some chopped up spring onions ten minutes before they exit the oven …..
Ingredients
500g pork ribs (I bought welfare friendly ribs from Kimber’s Farm Shop, Wincanton, Dorset)
125mls maple syrup
1 clove garlic, finely chopped
2 tbsp tomato ketchup
1. Marinade the ribs in the ingredients. I do this in a plastic food bag in the fridge for at least 2 hours.
2. Put them on a baking tray (I line it with baking paper to avoid tricky washing up), in a hot oven of about 200 degrees or so for 20-30 minutes, tossing them about once or twice during cooking.
3. Serve. (if for adults, you could add 1/2 tsp of paprika, chilli powder or chilli flakes to the marinade)
